How can I download the DoctorNow app on my phone?

The DoctorNow app can be downloaded onto iPhones from the App Store, and on Android phones from Google Play. To do this, please search DoctorNow Private GP or scan the QR code.

How do I log into the DoctorNow App?

Please note to access the app you will need a unique email address that links to your patient record i.e. your email address must not be shared on any other family member patient records. The app is currently only available to existing DoctorNow patients.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I haven’t received a password reset email?

You may not have received a password reset email if you do not have a unique email address i.e. your email address is shared on other family member records. All patients that use the DoctorNow app must have a unique email address.

Alternatively, if you have not consented to receiving email correspondence from DoctorNow you will not have received the password reset email.

Are there any password requirements?

The password that you set needs to be at least 10 characters long and include a capital letter and a number.

Is the DoctorNow app secure?

All clinical data is held on a secure server. It will be your responsibility to keep your login details for the DoctorNow app safe and secure. If you suspect that your account has been accessed by someone who does not have permission to view it, you should change your password immediately. Alternatively, please contact the practice so we can withdraw your online access until you can reset your password.

Will I still have access to the Patient Portal?

The DoctorNow app is powered by the existing Patient Portal, but with more functions available. You will use the same log in details and the online Patient Portal will be replaced by the DoctorNow web-based app.

What if I experience technical issues?

We understand that not everyone will want to use the DoctorNow app, and if you prefer traditional methods, nothing will change for you. You can still reach us by phone as you always have, and our team is here to assist you with all your healthcare needs. For those patients without a mobile device, but who still want to benefit from online access, you can also view the DoctorNow app through a web browser. However you decide to access DoctorNow, we're committed to providing you with the same quality care and support you expect.
