Born in Belfast, my Father’s work took us to Zambia when I was 5. We returned to Buckinghamshire in 1975 where I was educated at Aylesbury Grammar School and went on to study medicine at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, graduating in 1987.
I founded DOCTORnow 14 years ago, following a 15 year career in the NHS. My motivation and passion for starting DOCTORnow is unchanged; I still believe the patient should be at the centre of everything we do and treated as an individual on their own merits.
Over the past 12 years, my colleague Richard Angwin and I have established a team of excellent clinicians who share our patient centred philosophies and between them have a wide range of specialisms.
My special medical interests are paediatrics; musculoskeletal and respiratory medicine and managing complex medical cases.
My wife, Jane, and I have 3 sons. I am a keen Wasps and Ireland rugby supporter; I also enjoy spending time with family and friends. I keep fit by walking the dog, who is always up for a walk whatever the weather!
Whilst I am no longer taking on new patients as my list is currently full, I am very proud of the medical team here. I am confident that, whichever of my GP colleagues you see, you will be extremely well looked after.
